JP Urban Moving: building the JP Brain — then the modules that run on it
JP Urban Moving is a Brooklyn moving company handling residential and commercial moves across New York City — and it's part of ForgeMove: the founding mover behind the platform and its first customer. We build on our own moves first. The rollout starts where every AI rollout should: the JP Brain — turning years of calls, emails, and hard-won know-how into a documented, living system — with the Smart Visual Intake as the first module running on it. We're documenting it all here as it happens.
The starting point: a great company, none of it written down
Success built on undocumented know-how
Years in business, excellent reviews, crews that know every walk-up trick in Brooklyn — and no sales training manual, no support playbook, no documented operations. The best practices lived in people's heads and in thousands of calls and emails nobody had time to organize.
The wall every company hits with AI
When JP Urban moved to adopt AI, the gap surfaced immediately: an AI agent can't quote, book, or answer like the company until the company's knowledge is captured somewhere it can learn from. Undocumented know-how turned out to be the blocker — for AI and for training people, too.
Inventories arrived incomplete
Meanwhile the old text-box quote form asked customers to remember and type everything they own. They don't. The garage gets skipped, the basement gets forgotten, and the crew finds out on moving day.
Quoting meant callbacks
An incomplete inventory can't be priced, so every quote turned into phone tag — slower responses, colder leads, and estimates that were still part guesswork.
Phase 1: the JP Brain
Before any module, the knowledge. ForgeMove is gathering JP Urban's real sales calls, customer emails, videos, and operating decisions and structuring them into the JP Brain — the documented, constantly updated system of how the company actually works.
Real calls become the sales playbook
Recorded sales conversations are analyzed to capture how JP's best calls actually go — the questions asked, the objections handled, the way small jobs and peak-season weekends get priced and booked.
Emails and tickets become the support playbook
How JP wins back a frustrated customer, handles a COI request, or resolves a claim — extracted from real correspondence and confirmed by the people who wrote it.
JP owns every byte of it
The calls, the emails, the brain built from them — all of it belongs to JP Urban. That's the standard for every ForgeMove customer: your data is yours, used only to run your system, never shared and never used to train anyone else's AI.
Every module inherits it
The voice AI in development answers with JP's real pricing rules and policies because the brain is its source of truth — and each future module starts from the same place.
Phase 2: Smart Visual Intake — the first module
With the brain underway, the first module: the new intake runs under the JP Urban brand — their name, their colors, their domain. Customers never see ForgeMove.
Tap your furniture, not type it
Customers build their inventory from 260+ hand-drawn icons of real furniture — a queen bed looks different from a king, a sectional from a loveseat. Recognition beats recall, so the list comes back complete.
Cubic feet, live
Every item carries calibrated volume data. The total builds as the customer taps, and JP Urban receives an inventory it can price from without a callback.
Residential and commercial flows
Apartments and brownstones alongside full office moves — cubicles, workstations, conference rooms — each with room-by-room defaults tuned for New York moves.
Every lead, structured
Contact details, addresses, access notes, dates, and the full item list land in one structured record — ready for the estimator, no re-typing.
The rollout, step by step
Build the JP Brain
Calls, emails, and videos gathered and structured into the sales, support, and operations playbooks — reviewed and confirmed by the JP team. In progress now.
First module: visual intake goes live
Skinned in JP Urban's identity, catalog tuned to what their crews actually move, replacing the old quote form as the front door for every new inquiry. In progress now.
Measure, publish, add the next module
Form completion, inventory accuracy, and time-to-quote tracked against the old form and published here — while the voice AI trains on the brain as the next module in line.
